When she opened her practice in Staten Island, I knew it would be a long drive for us. Although it takes us 2hrs 45 mins to get there, I don't hesitate in going!! I'm more than willing to travel the distance, that's how good Dr Lena is!!! They are open on Saturday's, which is great! UPDATE: The experience above is true, but surprisingly the filling did last 3 years and holding. And the pain eventually went away 2 months later. They are least expensive in Staten Island. So I came back.

Came here with my wife

I had 2 fillings done and my wife had 2 fillings

I waited a month before leaving the review

One of my filling was drilled with a hole so big that my brain was shaking during the process and I was charged $20 extra for it being so big, the other filling was a rework on an old filling.

After a month both teeth are extremely sensitive and on one of them I am having  terrible pains by the gum area even after a month when I eat

Basically I have to go back to the dentist

Filling are cheap and seems like they won't last a year I wasn't offered more expensive options that I would have been happy to pay for

It seems like I was setup for a future root canal

My wife same experience except the hole was drilled so big that part of her side tooth fell off 2 days later

We are both in pain and uncomfort on the teeth that were worked on and we will not return or recommend

It's a nice clean place with latest equipment but unfortunately the skill and quality is not there read less

And I've been on a look out for a new doctor for a couple of years, but now I found HER! Dr.Khrapko is very good at what she does, and I could swear her hands are golden. She would calm me down when doing a procedure, and explain everything that needs to be done in the future, being very clear and understanding. A previous dentist said that I would not be able to get a root canal on my tooth b/c a crown could not fit b/c of spacing.(upper premolar)so referred to a specialist for an extraction.(tooth was cracked) Well I traveled the 2hrs 45 mins from Hartford, Ct to see Dr. Lena.(she use to work in Ct) Once again she did not disappoint. She was able to save my tooth & will be fitting me w/a crown contrary to what the other dentist said.
I find her to be both professional & kind. I have confidence in her ability so that reassures me. I would recommend her 100% especially if you are a nervous patient or if you have been referred to a specialist.(both times I was referred to a specialist she was able to do the procedure w/no problem)
